The second Creepshow retained the EC framing and delivered 'The Raft' — one of the most effective creature-in-the-water sequences in horror, simple and patient and genuinely disturbing. That sequence alone sustains the film's legacy beyond its otherwise modest profile.
Directed by Michael Gornick, who served as cinematographer on the original Creepshow, the film continues the comic-inspired visual style. Creepshow 2 received mixed reviews, often compared unfavorably to its predecessor. However, it has developed a cult following, with certain segments becoming fan favorites within the anthology horror genre.
