A classic early-80s slasher that helped define the sorority-house subgenre. It’s best known for its blend of mystery structure and sharp, collegiate atmosphere. Over time it has become a steady cult favorite among traditional slasher collectors.
Collectors are drawn to its sorority-house setting, which gives the film a contained, architectural tension ideal for stalking sequences. The practical kills and masked killer reveal structure make it a strong VHS-era slasher staple. Its poster art and campus imagery remain highly recognizable in genre collections.
Directed by Mark Rosman, it was produced during the peak of the post-Friday the 13th slasher boom. Its modest budget was offset by strong location use and a focus on suspense-driven pacing.
