(1988)
A group of kids discover one of the drums containing a rotting corpse and release the 2-4-5 Trioxin gas into the air, causing the dead to once again rise from the grave and seek out brains.

A horror-comedy sequel that leans more heavily into slapstick and family-friendly zombie chaos than its predecessor. It is a recognizable entry in mainstream 80s zombie cinema. Its tone is lighter and more comedic than traditional horror.
Collectors are drawn to its rubber zombie effects and its recurring barrel motif from the franchise. The film’s practical makeup work and comedic undead design give it strong VHS nostalgia. Its franchise identity keeps it relevant in zombie collections.
Directed by Ken Wiederhorn, it was produced as a studio sequel with a shift toward broader audience appeal. It performed moderately and became a staple of cable-era horror viewing.
